Kinara Bar and Restaurant Chimbel Goa, one of the best spots for eating as the locals do. The freshest catch of the day for the perfect lunch.
Whenever I travel to a new place, my focus is to eat where and as the locals do. Which means, when I see tourists in Goa only eating at the oh-so-touristy places, I feel a little bad. Of course, part of me wants these hidden gems to stay hidden for fear of over-commercialisation, but mostly I want people to know. Pick those places, where the locals sit in the afternoon, open a bottle of beer, relish super fresh seafood, done in true blue original Goan style, with little or no frills. And when I say no frills I mean ceiling/table fans, no AC, melamine or steel cutlery, drinking out of a bottle with straws and sitting on plastic chairs on the terrace level of someone’s home converted into a restaurant.
